ABOUT OUR WOODWIND LESSONS
The woodwind instrument family makes up a large portion of instruments found in ensembles and orchestras around the world. From flutes and clarinets for classic applications to the sweet jazzy tone from the saxophone, woodwind instruments are a great way to start your journey down your musical path. Winds are commonly found in orchestral settings and are a great place to start for students interested in orchestra, but want to try an instrument other than the violin or other strings. The saxophone is a standard member of the jazz band as well. Clarinet, saxophone, flute, trumpet, and trombone instruction is offered as weekly 30 or 60-minute private lessons for beginner, intermediate, and advanced students. Our woodwind and brass instructors are amazingly talented musicians who love teaching students of all ages and levels. Students going into school band can get a jump start over the summer, while students already participating in band can make quick progress and advance their technique and skill level. We also have many adult students who always wanted to learn to play a wind instrument and decided to finally pursue their dream.
WOODWIND LESSONS FOR BEGINNERS
If you are curious to learn a wind instrument, there are plenty of choices for beginners. From traditional musical instruments to modern choices, you will easily find the right musical instrument for all moods and preferences. All of our woodwind teachers love working with beginners and have experience creating a structured program to help students master foundational aspects such as good posture, embouchure, breathing, intonation, tone production, note-reading, rhythm, theory, and more while ensuring that the student is having a positive experience and loving their lessons.
WOODWIND LESSONS FOR CHILDREN
Whether your child is preparing to start a wind instrument in school soon, or whether they just want to give one of these beautiful instruments a try, our instructors will help to create a strong foundation. Our woodwind instructors are comfortable teaching and coaching all styles of music, including classical, pop, jazz, blues, and more.
WOODWIND LESSONS FOR ADULTS
Many of our adult woodwind and brass students have always had the dream of playing one of these instruments, and many others played as a child and wish to pick their instrument back up again. Whether students have a busy career, are a busy parent, or are a retired adult, our instructors are delighted to help them learn and enjoy how to play their favorite songs and styles of music. Whether you’re a beginning classical flutist or an experimental saxophonist, you can round out your tone or explore a new genre with woodwind lessons.

FLEXIBLE SCHEDULING AND UNLIMITED MAKE UP LESSONS
Our unparalleled scheduling flexibility is designed to meet the needs of family's busy schedules. We are open 7 days a week all year round (including the summer), and offer unlimited make-up lessons. If you need to cancel your lesson or change your lesson time, we've got you covered! If you're too busy or unable to come in for a make-up lesson, you can request a lesson via Zoom or even request that your teacher create a custom video make-up lesson instead! There are plenty of flexible options for all.
FREE OPTIONAL RECITALS TWO TIMES PER YEAR
Progress equals to happiness. Students and parents can feel progress in a tangible way through our free and optional recitals. Twice a year our students will have the opportunity to put into practice what they have learned and show their talent on stage. There is nothing better than performing live to maximize the wonderful experience of music and take the journey to the next level. Participation is always optional.
NO CONTRACTS OR SEMESTER BASED PROGRAMS
We work on a month-to-month basis. Our students have the flexibility to enroll or withdraw from our private lesson studio at any given point depending on whatever is more convenient for them.

This also makes our lessons go beyond music education and become lessons for life.

Josan is an excellent teacher, with lots of patience and dedication. He is very focused on having his students understanding the proper technique, so they don’t develop bad habits or incorrect positions on the instrument, while still keeping the lessons very fun and dynamic.
