ABOUT OUR VOICE LESSONS
There is far more involved than just having a “nice” voice when it comes to learning to sing. Our teachers can help students of any age fine their natural voice, improve their intonation, breathing and get comfortable on stage. We here at Kingwood Arts Academy also understand that it may be difficult to know where to begin when deciding to start voice lessons. We offer weekly private voice lessons and singing lessons to students starting at age 6 and have 30 and 60-minute lessons available. Lessons are available to beginners as well as self-taught or experienced students in diverse styles such as pop, classical, jazz, rock music, and much more! We love to work with both casual and serious learners alike, and are happy to accommodate any unique goal you may have.
VOICE AND SINGING LESSONS FOR BEGINNERS
Anyone with passion can learn how to sing! Our expert voice instructors love working with beginners, and specialize in creating laid-back, positive, and encouraging environments that make students feel comfortable singing. Our voice instructors coach beginner singers to utilize their voices safely with appropriate posture, breathing and tonal exercises while singing popular songs from musical theater to the classics as well as today's pop hits! The vocal instructor will use a combination of warm-ups, vocal exercises, ear training, introduction to stage presence, and of course students’ favorite songs to set a healthy foundation upon which to grow.
VOICE AND SINGING LESSONS FOR CHILDREN
Prepare your young vocalist to light up the stage with their aspiring voices! For younger students under the age of 12, our vocal teachers exercise great care with children to prevent injury to growing vocal chords. Concepts for this age are deeply immersed in matching pitch, basic breathing technique, reading music, and stage presence, and songs are age-appropriate both in material and vocal demands.
VOICE AND SINGING LESSONS FOR ADULTS
Our vocal instructors love working with adults, and they know how to make them comfortable and take them to a whole new level with their voice. Voice students spend time each week doing physical exercises to improve their vocal range, ear training, breath control, vibrato, tone production, enunciation and more. Our teachers make it a priority to get to know you on a personal level and to become familiar with your personal musical needs and goals. All voice students set goals with their teacher to work on sounding like their favorite recording artists, preparing for a theatre audition, or if they prefer, to develop their own unique voice. No matter the goal, we can help get you there while making sure you have the time of your life.

All of our instructors either hold or are pursuing degrees in music and all have had prior experience teaching music. They are fully aligned with our vision and know how to create the right classroom environment to set up each of our students for success in a fun, inspiring, captivating, and playful way.
FLEXIBLE SCHEDULING AND UNLIMITED MAKE UP LESSONS
Our unparalleled scheduling flexibility is designed to meet the needs of family's busy schedules. We are open 7 days a week all year round (including the summer), and offer unlimited make-up lessons. If you need to cancel your lesson or change your lesson time, we've got you covered! If you're too busy or unable to come in for a make-up lesson, you can request a lesson via Zoom or even request that your teacher create a custom video make-up lesson instead! There are plenty of flexible options for all.
FREE OPTIONAL RECITALS TWO TIMES PER YEAR
Progress equals to happiness. Students and parents can feel progress in a tangible way through our free and optional recitals. Twice a year our students will have the opportunity to put into practice what they have learned and show their talent on stage. There is nothing better than performing live to maximize the wonderful experience of music and take the journey to the next level. Participation is always optional.
NO CONTRACTS OR SEMESTER BASED PROGRAMS
We work on a month-to-month basis. Our students have the flexibility to enroll or withdraw from our private lesson studio at any given point depending on whatever is more convenient for them.

As a result, students learn to eliminate limiting beliefs, and are empowered to overcome the many challenges that arise in this wonderful journey. This also makes our lessons go beyond music education and become lessons for life.

Josan is an excellent teacher, with lots of patience and dedication. He is very focused on having his students understanding the proper technique, so they don’t develop bad habits or incorrect positions on the instrument, while still keeping the lessons very fun and dynamic.
