ABOUT OUR VOICE & SINGING LESSONS
There is far more involved than just having a "nice" voice when learning to sing. Our teachers can help students of any age find their natural voice, improve their intonation and breathing, and get comfortable on stage. We here at Kingwood Arts Academy also understand that it may be challenging to know where to begin when deciding to start voice lessons. We offer weekly private voice and singing lessons to students starting at age six and have 30 and 60-minute lessons available. Lessons are available to beginners and self-taught or experienced students in diverse styles such as pop, classical, jazz, rock music, and much more! We love to work with severe and casual learners alike. We are happy to accommodate any unique goal you may have.
VOICE LESSONS FOR BEGINNERS
Anyone with passion can learn how to sing! Our expert voice instructors love working with beginners and specialize in creating laid-back, positive, and encouraging environments that make students feel comfortable singing. Our voice instructors coach beginner singers to utilize their voices safely with appropriate posture, breathing, and tonal exercises while singing popular songs from musical theater to the classics and today's pop hits! The vocal instructor will use a combination of warm-ups, vocal exercises, ear training, introduction to stage presence, and, of course, students' favorite songs to set a healthy foundation upon which to grow.
VOICE LESSONS FOR CHILDREN
Prepare your young vocalist to light up the stage with their aspiring voices! For younger students under 12, our vocal teachers exercise great care with children to prevent injury to growing vocal cords. Concepts for this age are deeply immersed in matching pitch, basic breathing techniques, reading music, and stage presence, and songs are age-appropriate both in material and vocal demands.
VOICE LESSONS FOR ADULTS
Our vocal instructors love working with adults; they know how to make them comfortable and take them to a new level with their voices. Voice students spend time each week doing physical exercises to improve their vocal range, ear training, breath control, vibrato, tone production, enunciation, and more. Our teachers make it a priority to get to know you on a personal level and to become familiar with your personal musical needs and goals. All voice students set goals with their teacher to work on sounding like their favorite recording artists, preparing for a theatre audition, or developing their own unique voice. No matter the goal, we can help get you there while ensuring you have the time of your life.

Josan is an excellent teacher, with lots of patience and dedication. He is very focused on having his students understanding the proper technique, so they don’t develop bad habits or incorrect positions on the instrument, while still keeping the lessons very fun and dynamic.
