String ensembles have a historic prevalence due to the power and beauty they can produce. Composers like Bach, Mozart, and Beethoven brought masterpieces written for string ensembles to life.

 

Our string ensembles allow our violin, viola, and cello students to learn to play in groups, developing a key skill set in their musical journey. 

The ensemble director will help students define a repertoire, learn to rehearse, sync, play in tune, and prepare for a live performance.

The String Ensemble sessions focus on ensemble work and are not a space to learn individual parts. It's important that students are able to learn their individual parts before each rehearsal. We recommend combining private lessons with String Ensemble rehearsals to achieve optimal results, as this will provide a solid foundation for your individual musical growth and enhance your ensemble performance.
