Julien O. teaches violin and piano at Kingwood Arts Academy of Music. He is a violinist, composer, and educator with over 10 years of musical experience and a passion for helping students of all ages and skill levels grow as musicians.

 

Julien currently attends Oberlin College and Conservatory, where he studies both violin and composition and has earned multiple merit scholarships for his musicianship. He is also a founder and director of the Oberlin Camerata, a student-led orchestra that brings together musicians from the Oberlin community with a wide range of experience levels.

 

Throughout his musical career, Julien has performed in numerous ensembles and was selected for prestigious TMEA All-Region and All-State ensembles during high school. In addition to his performance experience, he has taught students at both the elementary and middle school levels, developing a patient and encouraging teaching style.

 

Julien strives to create a positive and welcoming learning environment where students not only develop strong musical skills, but also build a lifelong appreciation and love for music. His lessons are engaging, supportive, and tailored to help each student reach their individual goals.
