James teaches drums and piano lessons and enjoys working with students of all ages. He has been playing drums for 24 years, starting at the age of two and joining his church's music ministry at five. By age seven he was already serving as the official drummer for the Lincoln Southern District Association and the BM&E State Congress, and he currently plays with the TSU jazz ensemble. James is well versed in a wide range of styles, including gospel, jazz, pop, rock, blues, hip-hop, and R&B, and he brings that versatility into every lesson. He loves helping students develop a strong sense of rhythm and real confidence, whether they are behind the kit or at the keyboard. His goal is for each student to build solid fundamentals while genuinely enjoying the process of making music.
